Glimmer Then Gone
Constellations of the Past
Ballet Papillon proudly presents Glimmer Then Gone ~ Constellations of The Past. During this production, you will be immersed in the recollection of transformative life experiences. Inspired by personal stories and momentous memories, the artists use the modality of ballet to reveal the precious scars imprinted on their hearts. Aimed to bring healing from broken relationships, grief, and the transience of life, Glimmer Then Gone promises to portray the twists and turns of life and how one recovers from traumas of the past.

Together we have grieved, been each other’s greatest support systems, learned to spread our wings, and most impactfully, imparted healing through the art of ballet. This performance brings to fruition the magic that transpires through dance. Through sparks of thrilling choreography, vibrant music, and enchanting artistic expression, you will recognize Metamorphosis as a testament to the necessity of art and change and the emotions they encompass.

Choreographed to an invigorating mix of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and Max Richter’s recomposed score of Vivaldi’s masterpieces, ballet-inspired choreography comes to life as the artists’ mesmerizing movements embody the perfect blend of classical and contemporary notes. Throughout the performance, you will encounter dynamic changes in mood and sensation as you are whisked away on a journey through the striking moods of summer, tumultuous tenders of autumn, and the shadows of a weary winter that lead to the light-hearted days and new life of spring.
