Artists In Motion

Ballet Papillon is honored to have the opportunity to serve the dancers of the greater DFW area with the launch of our Artists in Motion program. This unique platform will offer complimentary/donation-based professional level technique classes from some of DFW's greatest instructors.

As part of our nonprofit's mission to serve the deserving artists of our community, Ballet Papillon is committed to making essential training accessible and creating a space for performers to refine their artistry, especially throughout times of financial hardships and shortages in available job offerings. Alongside its weekly classes, in collaboration with Dr Melanie Gray of Gray Osteopathic Wellness & Arts and her associates, Ballet Papillon will also be able to provide complimentary and/or discounted biweekly wellness services to our professional artistic attendees.

The Papillon Project

Summer 2026

Ballet Papillon's The Papillon Project 2026 is a two-week professional company experience during which artists will have the opportunity to work with established and emerging choreographers as well as master instructors and other inspiring artists. Throughout this two-week initiative, dancers will participate in company technique classes as well as daily rehearsals to culminate in a main stage production. The Papillon Project 2026 is designed specifically to allow artists to continue sharing and developing their artistry over the usual summer layoff period.

For its inaugural session, The Papillon Project 2026 will offer principal, company, and apprentice positions. The Summer 2026 dates run July 27th through August 11th. The work will debut at the Lewisville Grand Theater in Lewisville, Texas. The Summer 2026 featured guest choreographer is Christian Denice, Choreographic Fellow for BalletX.
